The Football Tailor
Size guide
Retro shirts fit differently from modern kits, so we measure shirts individually rather than guessing.
Check the shirt you're buying
Every product page has a size guide in centimetres beside the size selector, with pit-to-pit width and shirt length for each available size. Where we have verified measurements for that exact shirt, the guide uses them; where we haven't, we say so rather than invent numbers.
How to measure a shirt you own
Lay a shirt that fits you well on a flat surface.
Pit-to-pit width: measure straight across the chest from armpit to armpit.
Shirt length: measure from the top of the shoulder, beside the collar, straight down to the hem.
Compare both numbers with the size guide on the product page and pick the closest match.
Fit advice
Where we have verified how a shirt fits — slim, regular or oversized — the product page includes fit advice and a sizing recommendation. If a shirt has no verified fit information yet, the safest choice is to go by the pit-to-pit measurement of a shirt you already like wearing.
